Announcing 2024 admissions.

This is the news I wait all year to share.

On Saturday, March 23rd – six days from now – SOLA will open our admissions season for 2024. We’ll enroll a new class of Afghan girls and bring them to SOLA’s campus in Rwanda.

In 2023, we received nearly 2,000 applications: an all-time high. We admitted 31 girls, who are traveling to Rwanda with chaperones from the UN’s International Organization for Migration. We’re so proud to continue this partnership with IOM to ensure that every new student will arrive in Rwanda safely.

Our school year begins in September. On Wednesday this week, we’ll be sharing a list of Frequently Asked Questions about admissions. On Saturday, our online application goes live in English, Dari, and Pashto. Everything will be available across SOLA’s social media and on our website.

March 23 will mark 2 years since the closing of girls' schools in Afghanistan. On campus, and with our upcoming SOLAx initiative, we continue our mission to educate Afghan girls.

And to those girls I say: I will never look away from you. You are our future.
