My news today lifts me up and tears at my heart.

In February, we opened SOLA’s 2022 admissions season and invited Afghan girls worldwide to apply to join us in Rwanda this fall. Today, admissions is over. We’ve received more than 170 applications from 10 nations.

We’re now finishing our final interviews, and our next step is to bring our new students safely to us in Rwanda – more on this throughout September, as we start the new school year.

To our friends and allies worldwide, thank you. None of this happens without you. And to Afghan women and girls, worldwide and back home: I see you so clearly. I hear you so clearly. I will never give up. I will never look away.
