This is the announcement I wait all year to make: SOLA’s new admissions season is about to begin.
2025 admissions opens on Sunday, March 23. Just like last year, our online application will be available on our website in English, Dari, and Pashto. Our application goes live on Sunday, and later this week, I’ll be sharing some Frequently Asked Questions about admissions.
As you know, last year’s admissions season broke all records. We received nearly 3,300 applications, and we could only admit 39 girls. These girls are traveling to Rwanda on a rolling basis with chaperones from the UN’s International Organization for Migration, and I could not be prouder of this enduring partnership between SOLA and IOM.
Every Afghan – and especially every Afghan girl – knows the significance of March 23. This day will mark 3 years since girls could attend school past 6th grade in Afghanistan. With SOLA in Rwanda, and with our online academy SOLAx, we continue our mission to educate Afghan girls, the generation of women leaders who’ll bring peace to Afghanistan.
We do not look away, and we never will.
